The illustrated designs
Each illustrated design pairs hand-drawn art with your baby's name and birth details. The art and its colors belong to the design; the name, the details and the lettering are yours. An illustrated design can also carry the moon of the birth date as a short line, such as “Under a waxing crescent moon”.
Olive branch
A hand-drawn olive sprig above the name, with the stats in three columns.
Rainbow
A five-band muted rainbow with two clouds above the name, with the stats in three columns.
Birth poster with the moon
The moon designs draw the moon as it was on the day your baby was born and print the name of its phase. We work it out from the date, the time of birth and the time zone of the birthplace; without a time we use midday, which changes the drawing by a hair. If you prefer an ornament, choose the decorative crescent instead.

Moon and stars
Centered, with a double frame, the moon and stars, and the stats in three columns.
Big moon
One large moon as it was on the birth date, above the name.
Announcement
The birth told in a few short lines, like a printed announcement.
What goes on a birth poster
Your baby's name and date of birth, and if you like the time, the weight, the length and the place of birth. Weight and length print exactly as you type them, in pounds and inches or in kilograms and centimeters. You can add both parents' names on one line, and the poster can be printed in English or Spanish.
A print, not a life-size poster or a plaque
The birth details are laid out to be read and kept, not drawn at 1:1 scale. It is a printable file, not a wooden plaque or a cross-stitch kit, so you can print it again whenever you like.
Sizes and printing
Every order includes all seven sizes: 8 × 10″, 11 × 14″ and 16 × 20″ fit standard US frames, and A4, A3, 30 × 40 cm and 50 × 70 cm suit European frames. Print on matte paper of 200 g/m² or heavier at a print shop, or at home on a good inkjet printer.
A gift for new parents
It takes a few minutes and arrives as a download, so it works as a last-minute gift for a baby shower, a hospital visit or a christening. Send the files, or print and frame it yourself.

Frequently asked questions
- Is this a physical poster?
- No. It is a digital product: you receive high-resolution files right after payment and can print them at home, at a local print shop or through an online printing service.
- Which sizes are available?
- A4, A3, 30 × 40 cm, 50 × 70 cm, 8 × 10", 11 × 14" and 16 × 20". Every order includes all of them, so you can print it again in another size whenever you like.
- Can I see the poster before I pay?
- Yes. The preview updates as you type, so you see exactly what you will get. The watermark is removed from the final files.
- Can I use pounds and inches or kilograms and centimeters?
- Both. Choose metric or imperial units and the poster shows the measurements exactly as you enter them.
- Is the poster life-size?
- No. Some birth posters show the baby at actual size; ours sets the name and birth details to read well on the wall, at any of the seven sizes.
- Is it a wooden plaque or a cross-stitch?
- Neither. It is a printable poster: you download the files and print them on paper, at home or at a print shop.
